New Delhi (Sputnik): India has a new social media sensation and it’s special. Karthyayini Amma, 96, is the oldest known student to sit for an exam. She is part of her district literacy mission in Alappuzha, a small town in the state of Kerala.

“Amma was calm and confident when she came to take her exams at the Kanichenellur Government Lower Primary School in Cheppad Alappuzha,” Sathi, an exam coordinator teacher told local media after the exam.
