Broward County Salvation Army “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive at Walmart August 6-8


With children back to school after the pandemic, school supplies will be essential in helping them prepare and succeed. The Broward County Salvation Army is once again teaming up with Walmart to “stuff the bus” with school supplies to help underprivileged children in Broward County. The campaign will run from Friday August 6 through Sunday August 8 and will offer generous donors several ways to donate – through Walmart’s online ledger, through the organization’s secure donation portal, and through drop-off points. All supplies will be distributed to needy school-aged children in Broward County just in time for the start of the new school year on Wednesday August 18.

The Broward County Salvation Army is currently looking for a variety of supplies including pencils, pens, calculators, paper, folders, spiral notebooks, binders, colored markers, glue sticks and Moreover.

Individuals and businesses wishing to donate to the Broward County Salvation Army ‘Stuff the Bus’ Virtual School Supply Drive can safely purchase items via or visit the following Walmart locations to shop and drop off:

Walmart and the Salvation Army have partnered for over 30 years to meet community needs through a range of social services, helping individuals and families overcome poverty and economic hardship. In addition to collecting school supplies, the Broward County Salvation Army feeds thousands of needy residents through its pantry. Every Thursday, trusted military experts provide non-perishable and other pantry items to more than hundreds of underserved families. The organization also offers take-out meals to the homeless, its residents and other needy people.
