The month-long CCC school supply drive is an annual tradition

From July 18 to August 15, the California Correctional Center (CCC) held a school supply drive. CCC collected donations from staff and the CARE program, providing supplies to seven schools in Lassen County.

Each school received backpacks full of school supplies, as well as a large box of extra supplies to distribute to children or teachers in need.

The supply boxes contained lunch boxes, pencils, calculators, binders, pencils, paper, pens, erasers, markers, highlighters and everything needed for a successful school year.

School officials expressed appreciation for the supplies, saying the students would also be grateful. CCC staff are dedicated to helping members of the community and showing support and kindness throughout.

CCC’s annual back-to-school campaign is just one of many events the institution participates in to make a difference in the community.
