Rules of play and tournament format
The Unified Bowling State Championships will follow an open format for tournaments. The two best team scores (based on the total number of falls) will determine the state champion and runner-up. The CHSAA has a competitive inter-school division for unified bowling.

The official rules and regulations for all unified sports and activities will be those published in the CHSAA newsletter in conjunction with Special Olympics – Colorado and the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).

The teams will consist of up to five players, three competitors and two substitutes.

The three competing students must be composed of at least two students (athletes) with an intellectual disability (see “Eligibility” below) and 1 student without an intellectual disability (partner). Coaches can play an additional student with an intellectual disability as a partner.

Unified sports teams should be made up of boys and girls, which makes them mixed. A student with a physical disability can participate as a partner.

Tickets can be purchased online via GoFan.
