Law school exam set for August 24
The General Legal Council (GLC) is inviting applications from qualified individuals for admission to the Ghana School of Law Professional Law Course Program for the 2021/2022 academic year.
The deadline for submitting applications is July 30, 2021 at noon.
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will take an entrance exam organized by the GLC Independent Examinations Committee on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
The people eligible to take the entrance exam are:
a Those who have obtained a Bachelor of Laws Certificate from the University of Ghana Law School accredited by the Ghana Higher Education Commission and approved by the General Legal Council (GLC); and
b. Ghanaian holders of Bachelor of Laws certificates or equivalent law degrees from universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, United States of America and other common law jurisdictions, and who have been granted laissez-passer in all of the following prescribed subjects:
1. Contract law Law of tort
2. Criminal law
3. Criminal law
4. Real estate law
5. Ghanaian constitutional law
6. Ghanaian legal system and methods
7. Equity and succession
8. Company law
9. Commercial law
10. One of the following:
a) Natural Resources Act
b) Tax law
c) Intellectual property law
d) Environmental law
e) Labor law
