The Lisbon School Department is accepting names for the Public School Pre-Kindergarten Program at Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St.
This program is intended for children who will be 4 years old by October 15th. Children are selected to participate in the pre-k program through a lottery system, according to a school press release.
To enter the lottery, call Stephanie Doughty at the school office at 207-353-4132. Parents/guardians will be required to provide the name, date of birth, address, telephone number(s) and name(s) of the parent(s) of the child.
Class size is limited. Children not selected in the draw will be placed on a waiting list.
All names must be on the list by Thursday, March 31. The lottery will take place on Friday, April 1. For those who have already submitted a child’s name, there is no need to do so again.
Parents will be notified of the lottery results by mail after the draw.
Students in the Pre-K program go to school Monday through Friday. The morning session takes place from 8 am to 10.30 am. The afternoon session takes place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The school service provides transportation to and from each session.
