Need back-to-school supplies? Help is available to everyone at the Free Resources Fair

Another school year is fast approaching and not everyone may be ready.

School supplies, clothing and other necessities can create a financial hurdle for already stressed household budgets. Some families just don’t have the extra money.

This is why the Strive to Thrive Resource Fair was created. This free semi-annual event, hosted by Douglas County’s Care community networkwill be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at the Southeastern Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Road, Parker.

The event provides school supplies, food and nutrition assistance, back-to-school physical exams, emergency assistance requests, job opportunities and more to families and Douglas County residents going through difficult times.

No appointment or registration is required to attend the fair and connect with over 20 local organizations on site who are eager to help. Pre-registration is required for those wishing to school supplies and back to school physical exams.

Transportation to the event is available by calling 720-515-8814 by 5 p.m. Monday, July 25.
