‘Stuff the Bus’ collects school supplies for students in the Stillwater – Twin Cities area

School supplies are collected for families who live in the Stillwater area school district during the annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign sponsored by Community Thread and United Way of Washington County-East.

The most needed supplies include headphones; calculators (basic, graphing and scientific); lunch boxes and Kleenex boxes.

If your child needs school supplies, you can register online until August 8. The registration form will ask for the name of the school each child will attend and the class they are entering; families will have options for a curbside pickup date and time on August 17 and 18 on Community Thread.

Donors can drop off supplies at American Family Insurance, Bell Bank, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Cub Foods, Eckberg Lammers, Edina Realty, First Resource Bank, First State Bank & Trust, Guardian Angels Church, Lake Elmo Bank, MidWestOne Bank, Optimal Life Chiropractic, Sletten Orthodontics, Stillwater Motors, The Daily Grind, United Way of Washington County – East, US Bank – Oakridge Branch and Vitality Chiropractic.

Volunteers are needed to help sort supplies and assemble back-to-school kits August 9-19.
