The Walla Walla School District will provide school supplies to teachers and families in need in the fall; still advises adhering to COVID-19 guidelines | News

WALLA WALLA, WA – Most school and classroom supplies will continue to be provided to all students and families at Walla Walla Public Schools throughout the 2021-22 school year. For primary school students, families are not expected to procure school supplies, cleaning/hygiene products or other specific school supplies for their child. Middle and high school students are asked to bring only a limited set of individual supplies with them to campus.

See below for a summary of articles provided by the district and by the family:

Preschool / Head Start

– Head Start provides basic school supplies (backpacks, pens, pencils, markers and crayons)


– WWPS provides all school supplies (eg pens, pencils, markers/crayons, glue, tissues, hand sanitizer or other school supplies)

– Families provide: Backpacks

Middle School High School

– WWPS provides composition books and course-specific items such as graphing calculators and rulers. Classrooms will continue to be stocked with hand sanitizer.

– Families provide: a 3-ring binder with loose paper, writing materials (pencils/pens) and a backpack

NOTE: Families in financial difficulty are encouraged to contact their child’s school office to make arrangements if they are unable to meet one or more of the above arrangements.

The district is still awaiting school guidance from the Washington State Department of Health regarding masks and other COVID safety precautions, but at this time the state requires face masks in the classroom for students. and staff. The district will make these health-related items available to students and staff.
