There is still time to help with school supplies

[ad_1]

With just over a week to donate, Seattle Times readers look set to break another record in the Editorial Board’s annual school supplies campaign. The generous contributions from readers even surpass last year’s extraordinary results.

As of August 24, 778 readers had donated a total of $ 142,061 to The Reader, which is part of the Seattle Times Fund For Those In Need, a registered 501 (c) (3) charity. Every penny will go to the YWCA Seattle-King-Snohomish, Hopelink and Seattle / King County Coalition on Homelessness.

These respected community partners are using the funds to fill new backpacks with school supplies appropriate for the school year. Thanks to their efforts and donations from The Times readers, thousands of students in King and Snohomish counties will return to school equipped to learn.

A good education opens the doors to lifelong success – personally, professionally and as a participant in civic life. Your donations help ensure that every student has the tools they need to make the most of this opportunity. They are an investment in our collective future.

The easiest way to donate is online at: st.news/schoolsupplies2021. Checks can be sent to: The Seattle Times School-Supply Drive, PO Box C-11025, Seattle, WA 98111; email your questions to ffn@seattletimes.com.
